Polk County School Board and the FHSAA requires All Students who wish to participate in 2010-11 Summer Workouts, and Fall sports (Volleyball) to have a Sports Physical Form and Consent Form completed before they will be able attend any workouts. The 2010/11 School Year begins June 2010. The PCSB has a specific Polk County Sports Physical Form that they are requiring for this year. For those Players that Need a copy of the form to complete their Physical, Please see links below. Fall Sports Information

The FHSAA and the Polk County School Board has asked that the following information be made available to all student athletes and parents

Next fall, the FHSAA has set Monday, August 9 as the first day of practice for all fall sports (except cross country which starts on August 16).

This is a full 2 weeks before the first day of school in Polk County and throughout the state of Florida due to the mandated start date by the legislature.

Our student athletes are encouraged to begin the tryouts and practices on this date to insure them ample opportunity to become a member of any of these fall teams.

There is no guarantee that a student can wait until August 23 to go out for a fall sport and be selected for the team since the teams would have been practicing for two weeks and the first contest is just a week away.

Vacations (if possible) should be planned so that students will be able to participate in tryouts and practices on August 9.

Individual situations should be addressed with the principal, athletic director and the coaches well in advance of this August 9 date.
