Banquet information for Tonight Jan 14,2011
There has been some confusion on Attire for this evening.
Tonights Attire for Player and Family is Casual. Please dress Comfortably and appropriate to the Weather conditions. The Banquet will be outdoors at the Sand Volleyball Complex on Cypress Gardens Blvd.
In addition to the meal and awards, the Coaches wanted to make this banquet as entertaining and fun as possible for players and family.
With that in mind, we have arranged for everyone to have an opportunity to participate in Glow Volleyball at the complex after the meal. The Complex will be providing the Glow Paint and Glow Sticks for the Players to use during the Games.
Parents and Players please plan to bring is a Comfortable Beach Chair ( to watch the volleyball games and possible use during the meal because additional seating is limited). Everything else will be included.
All Family members are invited to the Banquet. We have have ordered extra food to accomidate everyone.

For those players that are not playing Club Volleyball, Thunder Volleyball would encourage players to look into the New SAND High School Volleyball League at the Aspire Higher Complex in Winter Haven. Sand Volleyball will be open to all Boys and Girls of high school age. Season will begin the end of February. Practices will be twice a week and games will be on the weekends. Bright House Networks will be televising the finals on April 8th. We will have more information about sign ups within the next few weeks. There has been alot of interest from many of the high schools in the area. Teams will form according to school.

We will be begin Conditioning for the 2012 season once Sand Volleyball is over in Mid April. We are planning a Spring Season in May and then plan to attend Volleyball Camp in July.
Coach Hagman and Coach Camp will evaluate the available volleyball camps and make the decision based a value, affordability, over all College experence.

Tryouts for Next year will begin on August 6, 2012

Next Years Schedule will not be available until April 2012. Our District will remain the same as Last year. We will plan to play one Varsity Tournament and one JV tournament along with our regular Schedule.

We are planning a fundraiser for March 2012 to help with Camp and/or Equipment costs for Next year. We will have more information at the Banquet.

Summerfest will be back this year. It has been our annual end of the summer tournament for both JV and Varsity Players and will be scheduled for July 31, and August 1, 2012.

Festivities will Include:
Dinner: Steak, Chicken, salad, sides dessert, drink
Fun: Glow Volleyball once the sun goes down for Players
Additional activites for Parents.
Awards: Varsity and JV
Pictures: Individual and Team Pictures will be presented to Players.
Attire: Dress Comfortably enough to play volleyball. Glow paint will be used during the volleyball games along with glow sticks and glow bands. Players may want to bring a towel to use as needed during and after the games. Also, Please Dress according to the weather conditions.
